SYMPTOMS
12. Sharply pointed 5-10mm spines sticking out of dorsal tissues.

DISEASE
ANCHOR-"WORM" - Lernea spp. crustacean parasite.

TROPICAL FRESHWATER & COLDWATER AQUARIA
Treat with PARAZIN. This may need to be backed up after suitable elapsement period with MYXAZIN to treat wounds.

SEAWATER AND BRACKISHWATER
Not found so far in seawater fishes (1991)

GARDEN PONDS
Treat with PARAZIN P. This may need to be backed up after suitable elapsement period with MYXAZIN P to treat wounds.

PREVENTION
Maintain a much higher standard of aquasystem hygiene, paying particular attention to filter cleanliness and avoiding overfeeding. Always stir up filter-bed before siphoning off old aquarium water when carrying out a partial water changes. Never use non-irradiated seafoods, Daphnia, Tubifex, bloodworm, mosquito etc.
