SYMPTOMS
14. Myriads of 0.5 - 1.0mm long crustacean "mites" teeming on glass, rockwork etc.

DISEASE
Copepods - Tiny, non -parasitic, scavenging harpactid crustaceans.

TROPICAL FRESHWATER & COLDWATER AQUARIA
Not appicable (seawater only)

SEAWATER AND BRACKISHWATER
Use a Mandarin dragonet or baby damselfish to eat them. PARAGON, used as directed, will help by oxidising the organic detritus which feeds the crustaceans.

GARDEN PONDS
Not applicable.

PREVENTION
Although not dangerous in themselves, these scavengers are always found to coexist with flukes / cestodes in dirty tanks - Moral treat with STERAZIN as a precaution and spring-clean the filter bed during water changes.
