SYMPTOMS
19. Shiny white cotton wool-like growths More commonly encountered in pond fish - may be seasonal. Fish generally show no other signs of disease. Rarely fatal.

DISEASE
CARP POX or FISH POX A viral infection largely restricted to goldfish, koi and some other cyprinids. More often seen in pond fish. Low infectivity. The fish usually self-cures in time

TROPICAL & COLDWATER AQUARIA
Only rarely encountered in coldwater aquaria. For treatment see pond entry.

SEAWATER AND BRACKISHWATER
Tropical aquaria not applicable

GARDEN PONDS
Most frequently found in in Nishiki Koi and golfish. Myxazin P may help.

FURTHER INFORMATION.
Where feasible, raising the water temperature by 5 degrees can help. Usually, the growths disappear with time, though the fish may still harbour the virus which can manifest itself again at a later date.
